The mission of the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation (CCF) is to work to continuously improve the environments of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons through education and stewardship programs. CCF’s programs are made possible by dedicated volunteers who work to maintain trails and vegetation in the Cottonwood Canyons and educate the public and students of Salt Lake City.

There are a number of programs to get involved with. For those interested in helping maintain the trails and ecosystem in the canyons in a more hands on way, we offer trail work opportunities such as National Public Lands Day, National Trails Day, and our very own Canyon Restoration Day. There are also opportunities to bring out your own group to give back to the canyons. We offer public education programs that take place during the summer, the Wasatch Wildflower Festival, and during the Winter, Ski With a Ranger, at all four Cottonwood Canyons Ski resorts. Beyond, public education we also provide free fall and winter field trips for 4th and 5th grade students. Every single one of these programs is made possible by volunteer! If you are interested in getting involved please reach out to the following staff members for specific programs.
